MODULE FIVE

Reflective Journal

I enjoy reading the case study on Casey's journalism class listed as one of the reading material for this week. With the online assessment tools, Casey's traditional onsite class can be transferred online with more engaging materials. By learning online, students can enjoy more choices on activities. I have discussed with Amy, my classmate that we can even move Casey's class field trip to watch a film online by having students go to a local library to borrow the video or find it on youtube. Students can do that with their convenient time and don’t need to worry about missing the field trip.

I am very grateful that there are so many talented and knowledgeable classmates I have in this class. Every week I can learn new things through their posting. This week I learned there is revised Bloom's Taxonomy, which is posted by Diane. The website also provides the useful resources on how to link Bloom's Taxonomy to Technology.

This week we have also read the threats of plagiarism. Too bad we didn't get to discuss about it. It's a very interesting topic for online assessment. I hope we can have another opportunity to discuss about it in the following modules.

One of the activities for this week is to finish an assessment taxonomy chart. Here is my chart:
